Elberfeld man stopped for traffic infraction arrested for possession of synthetic drug.
On May 4, 2014 at 3:25 a.m. Deputy Bryan Small observed a Black 2005 Ford 4 door passenger vehicle traveling Westbound on Broadway in Princeton with the headlights turned off. Deputy Small initiated a traffic stop at Broadway and Third and identified the driver as Kenan J. Bajzath age 21 of Elberfeld. During the traffic stop Princeton Officer Jason Swan observed a hand rolled cigarette lying in plain view inside the vehicle. Also in plain view were flakes of a green leafy substance on Mr. Bajzath’s shirt. Deputy Small field tested the substances and they came back positive indicating that they were a synthetic drug.
Mr. Bajzath was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Synthetic Cannabinoid. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.
Assisting Deputy Small in his investigation was Princeton Officer Jason Swan and Princeton Sergeant Steve McNeece.
