**Update to Press Release from 5/3/2014**
The victim stated the suspect had been on her property at the front door on 5/2/2014, the previous day to the robbery. On 5/2/2014 the victim saw the suspect walk up to her front door and crouch down. The victim believing the suspect was delivering a package opened the door. The suspect stood up and appeared to be saying something about a “job.” The victim could not understand the suspect and closed the door.

On 05/03/2014, at about 1510 hours, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to the report of a home invasion robbery on the 1000 block of Syracuse. Investigating officers found that an elderly couple had been robbed at gun point, and the suspect had fled the area. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male between 35-40 years of age, 5’7”, with an average build. The suspect was wearing a green t-shirt, possibly wearing a dark colored jacket, and dark pants. The suspect was further described as having a full beard that was trimmed, and had a Hispanic accent. Anyone with possible information related to this case is asked to call the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety at 408-730-7100.
