Severe Storm Potential and Flood Watch Notification
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook that outlines the potential for isolated severe storms to occur overnight mainly between midnight into the early morning hours.
Damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and frequent lightning are possible along with heavy rain and minor river flooding.
It is important to note that due to recent rainfall amounts and strong wind gusts that this second round of storms could bring down weakened trees resulting in road hazards and power outages.
A Flood Watch remains effective until late Wednesday evening. Storm drains and ditches may become quickly clogged with debris and cause extensive street runoff flooding.
Paulding Emergency Management encourages people to stay off the roads overnight into the early morning hours due to the possibility of flooding.
Remember not to attempt driving over roads covered with water regardless of perceived depth - Turn Around Don't Drown!
Instructions:
Monitor local media outlets, internet sources and/or NOAA Weather Radio for later statements and warnings regarding the severe weather threat.
