Deputy charges woman (Mary Lee) with trying to get money from Sugar Hill Road resident 
Deputy Joseph Martino of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Mary Marie Lee, 43, of Lee Drive in Marion, with one count each of felony attempting to obtain property by false pretense and misdemeanor trespassing.
During the late night hours of Wednesday, April 23, a woman, later identified as Lee, went to the home of Donnie Tipton, of Sugar Hill Road, and asked for money.
Martino’s report said the suspect’s story changed multiple times about why she needed money.
