West Lafayette man arrested for Operating w/o ever receiving a valid license.
On April 25, 2014, at 08:42 a.m. Deputy Tim Speedy was assisting WIN Energy crews as they repaired an electric line at US HWY 41 and Steelman Chapel Rd. Deputy Speedy advised that WIN energy crew members had their yellow caution lights activated and he had his emergency lights activated as he sat in the roadway to protect the repair crew. While sitting there a Black 2012 Mazda vehicle approached the area that Deputy Speedy and work crews were operating and made no effort to move over or slow down for the repair crew. Further Deputy Speedy advised that his patrol car and nearby traffic cones were almost struck when the vehicle went past. At that point Deputy Speedy stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Justiny A. Logan age 20 of West Lafayette. During a roadside investigation it was discovered that Mr. Logan was operating a motor vehicle without ever having received a valid driver’s license.
Deputy Speedy transported Mr. Logan to the Gibson County Jail where he has since posted a $450 bond.
