During the investigation of the alleged sexual assault in question, the victim admitted to fabricating the entire sexual assault claim to HBPD Investigators. The minor’s motivation for fabricating the sexual assault claim is still under investigation.
Because this case involves a minor, no further information will be released by the HBPD regarding this incident.
This new development in the Hermosa Beach case has no bearing on the Manhattan Beach sexual assault investigation from Polliwog Park, which is still open and active. With this in mind, parents are reminded to be vigilant in regards to their children’s safety at all times.
