On 4-20-14, at 5:42 AM, officers were sent to the convenience store at 950 S. Buchanan on an aggravated assault. Officers made contact with a HM age 42 inside the store. He was suffering from what appeared to be two knife wounds in his right side. The man told officers that he recalled being on his bicycle near Sanborn Park at 15th and S. Taylor at about 11:00 PM the evening before. Two black males and a white male approached him and spoke to him. He could not provide any information about what happened next or how he came to be injured or at the store to get help. Officers did not locate the man’s bicycle that he had been riding earlier. The man was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
