On Saturday April, 19, 2014, at 10 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith observed a Red 1999 Ford Mustang traveling North on Main Street in Fort Branch, Indiana. Deputy Smith observed the vehicle pull onto State Road 168 without signaling its intent to turn. Deputy Smith pulled his patrol vehicle behind the Red Mustang and observed that it was traveling over the posted speed limit. Upon initiating a traffic stop the driver was identified as Kyler M. Smith age 19 of Evansville, IN. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Kyler M. Smith was operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Before taking Kyler Smith into custody Deputy Smith obtained consent to search the vehicle and found Marijuana in the back seat. Kyler M. Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where he remains in custody on a $1300 bond.

Kyler M. Smith was charged with Driving While Suspended/ Prior and Possession of Marijuana.
