Seven officers conducted our weekly Traffic SATuration in the area of Fremont Bl./Peralta Ave. from 7:30 am - 9:00 am.  The focus was on “Distracted Driver Awareness.”  Twenty-nine (29) traffic enforcement stops were made, which resulted in several traffic citations and warnings being issued.

#018 Criminal Threats and Possession of Meth Arrest
Officer Stark and FTO Magana investigated a report of a male armed with a gun in the area of the 36000 block of Cabrillo Drive.  The reporting party stated that he and his dog confronted an unknown juvenile who was in his neighbor’s yard.  The juvenile threatened the reporting party by telling him that he was going shoot him and his dog with his gun.  The juvenile then proceeded to go to the front door of the reporting parties house and aggressively knocked on the door to threaten him.  The suspect eventually fled and Officer Hartman located him on Balboa Way.  The suspect was positively identified during an in-field line up and arrested for criminal threats and possession of methamphetamine.  The firearm was never actually seen or located during a backyard search.   Due to an attempt by the suspect to slip out of his handcuffs while in the backseat of the police car, he was placed in a WRAP and transported to jail.
