#GTPD Community Bulletin: Gloucester Township Police Cracking Down on Illegal Quad and Dirt Bike Riding

The Gloucester Township Police Department is cracking down the use of off road vehicles in the Township.  Due to an increasing number of complaints by community members, the Gloucester Township Police has bolstered our enforcement efforts to deter illegal quad and dirt bike riding throughout the Township.  Most wooded areas in Gloucester Township are illegal to ride off road vehicles.  By using surveillance, undercover officers, and high visibility operations, 12 riders have already been cited in the last 2 weeks.  Don’t be one of them.  It can be very costly to illegally ride your off road vehicle.  You will be ticketed, and your vehicle can be towed and impounded.

If you are caught riding a quad please stop for the officers.  It can lead to a dangerous situation for you and the officer.  If you do not stop for an officer it is a crime of Eluding which can be a crime, in which you can go to jail for.  You do not want to spend time in jail for illegally riding an off road vehicle.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the GTPD Community Relations Bureau at 228-4011 or email [email protected]

Please let all your friends and families know of the below restrictions.
