The Pomona Police Department was proactively searching for Suspect James Bunch in the 1700 Block of Cordova St on Aril 14th at approximately 8:30 pm. He is known to frequent the area and was recently named a suspect in several other criminal investigations to include Auto Theft, Burglary, Battery, Theft and Possession of Brass Knuckles.
Police officers knocked on doors in the neighborhood in search of Suspect Bunch. While standing on the landing of a 2nd floor apartment, the officers observed Suspect Bunch jump out of a 2nd floor window and run from the area. The officers chased the suspect on foot through the neighborhood until a perimeter of assisting officers was set up.
The suspect was eventually found a short time later and arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Receiving Stolen Property, Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.
Additional follow-up is taking place to determine Suspect Bunch's involvement in other crimes in the area. The multiple investigations will be presented to the District Attorney's Office for potential criminal prosecution.
