Good afternoon Saugus. The following crimes were reported in the Saugus area over the past week:
There was a commercial burglary in the 22000 block of Soledad Canyon Road on April 9th. Three offices at the location were broken into overnight, however, it is unknown what was taken.
A commercial burglary was reported in the 27700 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on April 13th. It was discovered that the front window of the business was smashed and money from the register was missing. Detectives are actively working the case.
We had an assault with a deadly weapon reported in the 28000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on April 8th. A store clerk was assaulted by an estranged customer after an argument. Deputies quickly responded to the location and arrested the suspect without incident.
A petty theft occurred in the 27200 block of Grano Avenue on April 6th. The victim left his IPAD unattended in his front yard for a short period of time. When he returned outside he discovered his IPAD was stolen.
There was a petty theft reported in the 21900 block of Centurion Way back on April 1st. The victim stated she left her purse unattended while she attended a meeting. When she returned she discovered her driver’s license was missing from her wallet.
As a crime prevention tip please remember to take all items of value with you when leaving for any period of time. Leaving any items of value behind or unattended provide criminals with a crime of opportunity.
There were multiple arrests made over the past week in the Saugus area. The arrests include assault, theft, narcotics, weapons, DUI and disturbing the peace.
