OCSO seeks help from public for history project. #OCSOHistory

(Oklahoma City) The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is making a plea to anyone who might have historic pictures, or artifacts related to our agency to share them with us.

"The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office is working on a history project. If you, your family, friends or acquaintances have any old photos or artifacts related to OCSO would love to have them or a digital copy", said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel".

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office has been in existence since the 1890's well before Oklahoma became a state in 1907, and we have very few items in house to document our history. "These items we are looking for could be from the 1890s, the 1900s, during the Oklahoma City Bombing – just historical photos involving the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office including people, vehicles, etcetera", said Whetsel.

If you have pictures, documents, or any artifacts which we could include in our archives, and displays please scan and email them to , direct message them through our Twitter page, or use the #OCSOHistory. You can also contact Public Information Director Mark Myers at (405) 713-1029.

Thank you in advance for assisting us with this project.
