243(b) PC: Battery vs. a police officer
11350 HS: Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
Location: 4995 Old Redwood Hwy, Petaluma (Pete’s Henny Penny Restaurant)
Summary: A Petaluma police officer responded to the above location to investigate a report of a patron causing a disturbance. The patron in question, Aldama, fled from the officer on foot when contacted outside the building. Aldama took a fighting stance against the officer as the officer caught up with him. A struggle on the ground ensued between Aldama and the officer, during which Aldama battered the officer and grabbed his holster. The officer subdued Aldama with a carotid restraint hold. Aldama was arrested and was examined on scene by paramedics. He was taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital for medical clearance and was then booked at Sonoma County Jail for the above charges.
