Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews are working to repair a broken 8-inch main on Akaula St. in Makakilo between Akaula Place and Akaawa Street. The break was initially reported at about 2 p.m. The road in this area is closed to allow for the water main repair.
About 26 homes are without service as a result of the break on the 8-inch main, which was originally installed in 1964. A water wagon is available for the affected customers.
An update will be issued when the BWS re-opens the road, which is expected to occur late tonight.
