Burglary/Theft Arrest

(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested and charged in connection with stolen property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Justin Wayne Bearden, 23, of Attalla, is charged with one count of first degree receiving stolen property, one count of third degree burglary, unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle and one count of second degree theft of property, all are felonies,” states Sgt. Jason Argo

Bearden allegedly stole two seats and a dash pad out of a 1985 Chevrolet Camaro from a residence on Sand Valley Road. The incident was reported on April 8, 2014.

Focus Enforcement Deputy Will Farley, found Bearden and the stolen items inside his late 80’s model Camaro on April 9, at a residence on Pope Circle, in the Rocky Hollow community.

When Sgt. Argo arrived on scene, he noticed a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250cc motorcycle. A report was taken in March for a stolen motorcycle of the same type. The serial number on the Kawasaki had been altered and Bearden admitted to stealing the motorcycle.

All items recovered have been returned to their rightful owner.

Bearden was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $12,500 bond.
