Theft Arrest 
(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested and charged in connection to theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Clifton Lakeith Gross, 34, of Attalla, was arrested yesterday, April 13, and was charged one count of first degree theft of property, which is a felony,” states Sgt. Jason Argo.
He allegedly stole a 1983 Datsun pickup truck from a residence on Copeland Gap Church Road, Attalla. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 13.
Deputy Kenneth Ragan was at the residence taking a report for the stolen vehicle when Gross drove the pickup truck past the property. Deputy Ragan made contact with the truck, identified it as the stolen vehicle and arrested Gross at the scene.
On an unrelated incident, Gross trespassed on property located in the Egypt community the same night he stole the pickup truck. He is also charged with one count first degree trespassing and one count of menacing, both are misdemeanors.
Gross is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $6,500 bond.
