One arrested after Friday evening stabbing on parking lot at 2415 S. Coulter.

On April 11, 2014 around 10:15 PM, the Amarillo Police responded to 2415 S. Coulter on a report of a stabbing victim in the parking lot.  Police and emergency personnel located a white male 16 years of age, with several stab wounds, down in the parking lot.  The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.  Witnesses reported the incident was the result of a road rage incident.  The suspect confronted the victim in the parking lot where he assaulted the juvenile victim with a knife.  The suspect then fled the scene in a yellow, compact car.  Responding officers located the suspect vehicle as it was fleeing the scene.  Officers stopped the vehicle near IH-40 and S. Georgia and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.  The suspect was Bobby Wayne Shoemaker W/M 44.  Mr. Shoemaker was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  Amarillo Police Department detectives are currently investigating the incident.  The victim's injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.
