On Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 11:24 PM, CPD officers on patrol observed a pick up truck traveling in the 1000 block of Norboe Avenue that was driving on the wrong side of the road. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Angel Villegas Raygoza (age 31). Officers believed Raygoza was displaying symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and determined he was driving on a suspended or revoked driver license due to previous drunk driving convictions. Raygoza was evaluated for DUI and subsequently arrested for the offense. A criminal history check of Raygoza showed he had three prior convictions for driving while under the influence of alcohol and had recently served prison time for a DUI which caused injury. Based on Raygoza's prior DUI conviction history, he was charged with a felony charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol. Raygoza was later booked into the Kings County Jail with a bail amount of $105,000.00 for driving while under the influence of alcohol / 08% BAC or above with three prior convictions and driving with a suspended or revoked driver license.
