On Thursday, April 10, 2014, Oakland Police officers responded to two separate reports of strong arm robberies. The first robbery occurred at 9:50 AM in the 3000 block of Lakeshore Avenue and the second at 10:07 AM in the area of Howe Street and Ridgeway Avenue. Both victims provided officers with a description of the suspects and the vehicle they used during the robberies.
Officers developed information that the vehicle was known to frequent the Webster Street corridor. An officer spotted the vehicle in the area of Webster Street and W. MacArthur Blvd. The vehicle was stopped and both suspects, a man and a woman were arrested for the robberies. Loss items from the victims were recovered.
