Press Release

The following individual was charged today in Madison County Circuit Court with a felony charge of DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED, according to Madison County Sheriff Robert J. Hertz. The man is identified as:
AGE: 28

On April 10, 2014, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in regard to Thomas Kealen. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was informed Kealen was wanted by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office regarding a felony warrant. Representatives with Adams County received information Kealen may be in Godfrey, Illinois.
On April 10, 2014, at approximately 5:33p.m., Madison County deputies observed Kealen operating a motor vehicle on the 5600 block of Godfrey Road, Godfrey, Illinois. Deputies initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle operated by Kealen and Kealen was arrested without incident for the aforementioned warrant. Kealen provided a false name to investigating deputies and it was discovered Kealen had a revoked Illinois driver’s license.
Kealen’s driver’s license was revoked due to a Pike County conviction on April 6, 2010, for Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I.).
Kealen was previously convicted on May 27, 2010, for Driving While License Revoked, for the associated D.U.I., which qualified him for the enhanced felony offense.
Kealen was also issued a citation for an Obstructed Windshield and charged with a misdemeanor charge of Obstructing Identification.
