On 04/05/2014 (S) Jhona Mathews was arrested at the Graton Casino for using a counterfeit credit card, which started an investigation that lead to the arrest of several more suspects. Soon after Mathew’s arrest, she was booked into the Sonoma County jail, where her bail was set at $10,000. Mathews was able to make bail the same day she was arrested.

Today, 04/10/2014, at approx. 0830 hours, Mathews showed up for her scheduled arraignment. The judge increased Mathews’ bail to $50,000 and remanded her into custody. Mathews told the judge that she had left her 3 year old daughter unattended in her car. Deputies immediately left the court house and located Mathews’ locked vehicle parked on the south side of the court house. Deputies found Mathews 3 year old daughter sleeping in the backseat. Deputies awoke the little girl and had her unlock the car door. Deputies searched Mathews’ car and found three capped hypodermic syringes loaded with suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a notebook containing numerous credit card numbers.

Mathews was booked at the county jail for her new on view charges of Felony Child Endangerment, Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Probation Violation. Mathews' daughter was turned over to CPS. Deputies requested a bail enhancement from the judge, which was granted. Mathews’ has a no bail hold due to her probation.

Property Crimes Detectives were notified of Mathews’ arrest and began an investigation regarding the notebook containing the credit card numbers. Mathews is on misdemeanor probation out of Main County for credit card fraud.
