On April 8-9, 2014 officers with the Norton Shores Police Department, in partnership with the Muskegon Alcohol Liability Initiative, conducted a decoy operation at thirty businesses which hold a liquor license in Norton Shores. The operation’s objective was to check for compliance when a person under the age of 21 attempted to purchase alcohol.
The Norton Shores Police Department and Muskegon Alcohol Liability Initiative recently delivered informational packets containing educational information on maintaining compliance.
Twenty five businesses were found to be compliant. Three businesses were found to be non-compliant.
The Norton Shores Police Department would like to congratulate all the businesses which were checked and found to be compliant. We thank them for their dedication in preventing teen consumption of alcohol.
