Press Release: Drug Arrests

ACCUSED: Ethan Haacker age 18 Ocean, NJ
Ryan Maccia age 19 Ocean, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On Friday, April 4th, 2014 at approximately 12:21 p.m. Detectives Jeffrey Malone, Michael Melody and Detective Sergeant Thomas Burke were on patrol on State Highway 35 North when they stopped a vehicle operated by Ryan Maccia for motor vehicle violations. A further investigation revealed that Maccia along with his passenger, Ethan Haacker did possess drug paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes and a prescription legend drug. Both subjects were arrested
and transported to the station for processing. Once back at the station a further search subsequent to an arrest revealed that Haacker did possess 10 bags of heroin.
Mr. Maccia was charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes and for being in possession of a prescription legend drug. He was issued motor vehicles
summonses as well.
Mr. Haacker was charged with being in possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes and for being in possession of a prescription legend drug. Both subjects were released
on criminal summonses pending a future court hearing.
