Bloomington - Just before 6:30 PM Sunday, a 2012 GMC pickup truck was travelling westbound on State Road 48 approaching Kirby Road at a high rate of speed. The driver, Nicholas Sexton, 29 of Bloomington, lost control at the intersection and travelled off the roadway to the south, ultimately crashing into the home at 130 S. Kirby Road.
There was no one home at the time of the crash.
Sexton was taken to a local hospital via ambulance due to minor injuries and complaints of pain. He was cited for speed too fast to avoid a collision.
