Culver City's newest Police Officers graduate from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Police Academy with honors!
On April 4, 2014, 63 new Deputy Sheriff's and 9 new Police Officers graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Police Academy in Santa Clarita California after 20 weeks of grueling physical and academic training.
The two Culver City P.D. graduates, Nikki Cavazos and Samuel Hawkins, graduated with academic honors and were recognized by the academy staff for their achievement.
In a special segment of the ceremony Culver City P.D. recruit Samuel Hawkins was named as the "Honor Recruit" for achieving the highest numerical average in leadership, academics, marksmanship and physical performance.
The Culver City Police Department would like to formally welcome Nikki Cavazos and Samuel Hawkins into The Culver City Police family and congratulate them on their accomplishments.
Following the graduation ceremony, Culver City Police Chief Don Pedersen conducted a "swearing in" ceremony in the presence of family, friends and colleagues.
