Three Injured in Tipton County Crash

Tipton County – Yesterday, at approximately at 2:40 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a three vehicle crash on U.S. 31 at State Road 28, which injured three people.

The preliminary crash investigation by Trooper Josh Tarrh revealed that Daniel Isgette, 30, Florence, SC was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 northbound on U.S. 31. Isgette allegedly failed to stop for a red traffic light at the intersection of State Road 28. The Ford struck an eastbound 2010 Toyota Rav4 driven by Stephanie Albrecht, 21, Muncie, IN. The crash impact pushed the Toyota into the front bumper of a 2003 Freightliner semi-tractor. The semi–tractor, driven by Stephen Sheldon, 33, Denver, IN, was stopped on State Road 28, facing westbound. Albrecht had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters from the Cicero Township Fire Department.

Albrecht was transported by ambulance to an Indianapolis hospital with an arm and rib injuries. Isgette was not injured, but two passengers in his vehicle where transported by ambulance to a Tipton hospital, with a complaint of leg pain. Sheldon was not injured.

Trooper Tarrh was assisted at the crash scene by Senior Trooper Aaron Schaal.
