A sub-contractor for PSE&G will be performing underground utility work on Morlot Avenue from 6th Street to Burke Place starting Wednesday, April 09, weather permitting. The job is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks. At this time, work hours will be from 7 AM until approx 4 PM (they may be adjusted if necessary). This is a moving operation and will usually affect one block at a time. There will be no parking on Morlot Avenue in the work area.

In order to minimize the impact on the folks at Lyncrest School, work in that area (between Camp Court and 12th Street) is scheduled for the week of spring break, Saturday, April 12 through Saturday, April 19 (no work on Sunday). We are aware that school is open Wednesday and Thursday; work those two days will start after 8:45 AM. There will be no parking on Morlot Avenue in the work area; signs will be posted. Morlot Avenue westbound traffic may be detoured right on to 12th Street and left onto Ellis Avenue.

Also note that work will take place on Wednesday, April 09 and Friday, April, 11 between River Road and Camp Court. Morlot Avenue eastbound traffic will be open. Morlot Avenue westbound traffic will be detoured right onto Camp Court then left onto Bellair Avenue to River Road.
