Pediatric Therapy Network gives back to support Retired Police Chief John Neu’s Wife, Michele's, Battle with Cancer
The Torrance Police Department Interim Chief Mark Matsuda, Community Lead Officer Arlan Wells, along with Community Affairs Division staff, was invited to the Pediatric Therapy Network (PTN) facility at 1815 W. 213th Street #100, Torrance 90501, to accept a check on behalf of Michelle Neu. Michelle is the spouse of recently retired Torrance Police Department Chief John Neu.
In February, Officer Wells competed in the Dancing with the South Bay Stars. Every contestant competed by dancing to raise money on behalf of their charity of choice. Officer Wells chose to support PTN in their mission.
PTN is a non-profit early child development and therapy center founded by parents, therapists, and teachers committed to providing quality services for children with special needs and for those at risk for developmental issues. PTN provides prevention, early identification, intervention, and therapy to 2,500 children a year.
When PTN heard the story about Michelle Neu’s battle with Leukemia, they graciously donated half of the funds raised by Officer Wells to Michelle’s fund “Michele’s Warriors, Fight Like a Girl.”
Michele Neu was diagnosed with Leukemia earlier this year and “Michele’s Warriors fight Like a Girl” was created to help in Michele’s efforts to fight her battle.
Thank you PTN for the donation to Michele’s fund!
