Three “Cat” Burglaries reported to Torrance Police Department within the past two weeks.
The Torrance Police Department has had three “Cat” burglaries within the last couple weeks. The suspect(s) are entering though open doors and windows while residents are sleeping.
On March 21, 2014, in the 22900 block of Anza Avenue, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a male entered the residence through an unlocked window. A resident who was sleeping woke up and screamed, and the male fled the location. The suspect was described as 5’8” tall, husky build, wearing dark clothing and he was possibly driving a white SUV.
On March 27, 2014 in the 21800 block of Linda Drive, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a male entered the residence through an unlocked front door. The suspect was confronted by the home owner and fled the location. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, in his late teens or early twenties, 5’5” tall and was wearing red clothing. The suspect removed small electronics from the residence.
On March 30, 2014 in the 4800 of Via El Sereno, at approximately 12:00 a.m., a suspect entered the residence through an unlocked door. The resident did not see anyone in the home. The suspect removed a laptop.
It is unknown if the suspect(s) involved in these crimes are one in the same or they involve different suspects.
