Citizen Call on Suspicious Subjects results in 3 arrests

On Friday, March 28, 2014 at approximately 11:55a.m., the Torrance Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 230th St and Walnut St.  The caller observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by three subjects repeatedly driving slowly through the area.  The caller provided a good description of the vehicle and its occupants.  The caller also provided the last known direction of travel of the vehicle.

TPD Officers were on scene within minutes and stopped the vehicle.  Officers conducted an investigation and the subjects were arrested for various burglary related charges.

The quick actions of this citizen ensured the apprehension of these subjects who were likely going to commit a burglary to a residence in the City of Torrance.

This is a great example of how to help strengthen the teamwork between the Community and the Police Department as we strive together to make Torrance a safer place to live, and when you See Something, Say Something can result in the prevention of crime.
