Green Bay Police Officers responded to a call of shots being fired in the 1300 block of S. Chestnut Ave shortly after 4:30 a.m. Officers located several shell casings in the area. Initially we found some holes in a residence that we believed were bullet holes but have turned out to not be. We have not located anyone who was injured by the gun fire and have not found any houses or vehicles that had been struck by gunfire.

We have spoken to several witnesses to a possible disturbance in that area and are following up on leads. We do not have any other information to release at this time. Please do not contact the shift commander as he will not have any further information. We will release more information as it comes available.
