$50,000.00 Reward offer for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of hit and run driver

The City Of Los Angeles is offering a reward of $50,000.00 for information leading to the identity, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for the death of Edward Nix, 54 years old.

On February 3, 2014, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Edward Nix was crossing at the intersection of Olympic Blvd at Orme Avenue when he was struck by a Hit and Run vehicle traveling eastbound on Olympic Blvd in the City of Los Angeles. The driver in the Hit and Run vehicle sped from the scene and fled eastbound on Olympic Blvd. There was damage to the front of the vehicle. Mr. Nix was transported to LAC+USC Medical Center by paramedics from LAFD. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was later pronounced dead.

Video from a surveillance camera at the scene captured a profile of the vehicle. It is described as a burgundy, late model Honda Odyssey or CRV. The driver was described as a female Hispanic. There is no license plate information.

The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting your help in identifying the person responsible for the crime. If you know who committed the crime, or if you have any information, please contact the Los Angeles Police Department immediately. All information will be kept strictly confidential!!
