3 SPD supervisors are presenting at 2014 Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Conference in Eau Claire on 4/1 & 4/2!

Sheboygan Police Department participates in this year’s POP Conference! What is POP? Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) is an approach to policing that identifies and analyzes crime and acts of disorder and develops strategies in conjunction with ongoing assessment. These strategies often engage other public agencies, the community and the private sector.

The annual Problem-Oriented Policing Conference is an array of workshops that are presented on different crime and safety problems. Attendees vary from police officers, police leaders to crime consultants and researchers.

This year, Chief Domagalski is a program facilitator and three of our supervisors will be presenting at this conference. Captain James Veeser (Criminal Investigation Division) will be presenting on a nationwide epidemic-heroin. Lt. Scott Mittelstadt (patrol) will be presenting on the Tavern Safety Coalition and Sgt. Kurt Zempel will be presenting on policing to reduce crime and crashes (DDACTS).

The POP Conference is April 1st and 2nd, and is held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
