The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with a homicide that occurred over the weekend. A passerby call the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Sunday morning at approximately 8:45 to report a drunk male passed out in a pickup truck near the intersection of Unger Road and Highway 70 -- four miles west of Soper. Once the trooper became aware the man was dead from a possible gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office was notified.

The victim is identified as 22-year-old Angel Ramirez Huerta of the Choctaw County area. He was inside a dark-colored Chevy pickup truck with a 4 wheeler in the back. OSBI is searching for any witnesses who may have seen another vehicle parked beside the victim’s truck Saturday to Sunday morning.
