It is with great regret that we inform you of the loss of one of the Clayton County Sheriff's Office finest officers. Today K-9 Adam was laid to rest, after a battle with a brain tumor. Lt. Michael Hensley was Adams sole partner for the seven years of exemplary service which Adam gave to the Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Clayton County. Adam was a 9 year old German Shepherd. Lt. Hensley and Adam were a nationally certified explosive and patrol team. Adam conducted security sweeps of the Clayton County Courthouse, schools and event locations throughout the county. During his career Adam also searched for missing children and suspects who fled from law enforcement. Adam showed courage and continued to press the fight till the day he was laid to rest.
