Thousands in Stolen Medical Equipment Recovered 
On January 16, 2014, a van containing approximately $12,000 worth of medical equipment was stolen within the City of Carson. The van was recovered approximately one month later in the City of Bell Gardens however, all of the medical equipment that had been inside was missing.
On Monday March 27, 2014, Carson Station Detectives developed a lead that led them to a business in the City of South Gate where they located the stolen medical equipment as well as illegal narcotics and equipment commonly used to commit identity theft.
Detectives arrested 39 year old South Gate resident Samuel Rojas and booked him at Carson Sheriff’s Station for possession of stolen property as well as possession of illegal narcotics. His bail was set at $90,000.
