The City of Carson and Carson Sheriff’s Station are teaming up to improve safety in the City of Carson. On three designated Saturdays – April 5^th, April 26^th, and May 10^th – City staff, elected officials and representatives from the Carson Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Team, the Carson Sheriff’s Park Enforcement Team, service volunteers,  and Sheriff’s Reserves and Explorers, will walk through pre-selected neighborhoods in the vicinities of Carson Park, Mills Park and Victoria Park, respectively, to interact with residents. The group will use a Community Safety Survey to document residents’ concerns and suggestions regarding safety in their neighborhoods. Survey results will be compiled by Carson Sheriff’s Station personnel and presented at individual community safety feedback meetings on May 14^th (at Carson Park), May 21^st (at Mills Park), and June 25^th (at Victoria Park). The goal of the survey is to bring the community and the Carson Sheriff’s Station closer by recognizing the concerns of the public, and at the same time, recruit more Block Captains and youth to serve in the community. Survey results may also provide valuable information that can be useful in improving the Neighborhood Watch Program.
