Suspicious fire destroys unoccupied building west of Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE, Wash. (23MAR2014) - Grant County investigators are looking for the cause of a suspicious fire which destroyed an unoccupied building west of Moses Lake today.
Grant County Fire Dist. #5 and Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies were called this afternoon to the 3700 block of County Road 4-Northeast in Mae Valley. A 40’ x 120’ building was fully involved when they arrived. Nobody was hurt.
The building, owned by Pedro Ciganda of Moses Lake, was originally an old army barracks which was relocated to the current site many years ago. The building was unoccupied and uninhabitable before the fire.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office and the Grant County Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 509-762-1160 or send information to [email protected]. Tipsters can remain anonymous. The case number is 14GS03147.
