PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 19, 2014
CONTACT: Public Information Officer, Tony Stewart
Tony Stewart with the Troy Police Department wishes to release the following public safety information, regarding a possible child abduction attempt.
At approximately 4:40 PM today (03/19/14) a resident in the area of Juanita St., overheard voices coming from his driveway. Upon investigating the resident witnessed a newer model, Charcoal Gray colored four-door car (possibly a Nissan), quickly backing out of his driveway and then speed away from the area. No license information was obtained.
The vehicle was being driven by a white male driver, wearing a light-colored hoodie. The vehicle also contains a white adult female passenger in the front seat, and an approximate 7 to 8-year-old boy in the rear seat.
Upon the resident questioned his daughter about the car, the daughter advised the vehicle had pulled into their driveway when the child in the rear opened up the car door and asked if she ‘wanted some candy?’
