Suspect arrested in connection with bank robbery
A suspect was arrested today in connection with the recent robbery of a bank inside an Arlington grocery store. Thanks to the multiple tips provided by the public after viewing the suspect photo on social media and traditional news media, Arlington police and FBI officials were able to identify Eric J. Montgomery as the suspect. Montgomery (DOB 5/1/1964) was taken into federal custody.

The Arlington Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a recent bank robbery. On Friday, March 7, 2014, at about 11:30 a.m. a man walked into the First Convenience Bank inside a grocery store in the 2400 block of Ascension Boulevard. The man approached a teller window and repeatedly told the teller that he wanted to make a withdrawal. He indicated that he had a weapon and gave the teller a bank bag. The teller placed an undetermined amount of cash into the bag and the man fled the location.
Included with this message are photos of the suspect taken from surveillance images inside the bank. The suspect is described as being between the age of 40 and 50, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing around 230 pounds. During the robbery, he was wearing dark pants, a dark-colored jacked, black baseball hat and black-framed, rectangle-shaped glasses.
