As you do your “spring cleaning” do not overlook the medicine cabinet and safely dispose of all unneeded medication.

As you do your “spring cleaning” do not overlook the medicine cabinet and safely dispose of all unneeded prescription medication. Flushing the drugs down the toilet often results in these drugs getting into the water supply.

The MEDWAY Drug Enforcement agency has placed metal receptacles in the lobby of the Justice Center and at police stations in Brunswick, Creston, Doylestown, Millersburg, Orrville, Rittman, Shreve and Smithville.

Now citizens can safely dispose of unneeded prescription medication without waiting for annual “drug take back days”.

If you have such medication, please remove the label from the containers and feel free to dispose of this medicine at any of the above locations 24 hrs per day with no questions asked.

Upon being removed from the secure receptacle the drugs are incinerated.
