Carjacking
Dearborn, Mi. — On Monday, March 10, 2014 at approximately 9:35am the Dearborn Police Department responded 600 block of S. Brady on a report of a stabbing and a carjacking. On scene offices spoke with a 19 year old Detroit man who stated he and the suspect agreed to meet to conduct a narcotics transaction. The victim said after completing the narcotics transaction the suspect opened his vehicle door and began stabbing him with a knife. The victim fell from the vehicle and the suspect jumped inside the victim’s vehicle and fled the area. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple puncture wounds and lacerations and released. After further investigation a suspect was identified and arrested on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at approximately 3:00 pm. Twenty-four year old Dearborn resident, Shaker Hassoon was charged with Carjacking, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Hassoon was arraigned in the 19th District Court and bond set at $100,000 cash or surety. A preliminary exam has been scheduled for March 21, 2014 at 9:00 am.
Chief Haddad stated, “Illegal narcotic activity often leads to more violent crimes. The Dearborn Police Department is aggressively committed to pursuing all levels of narcotic activity.”
