Two suspects arrested for theft of sorority pins at Tri-Delta headquarters

Arlington police arrested two suspects Wednesday in connection with a recent theft from a sorority’s headquarters office in Arlington. Carla Rae Seals, 42, and Mark Jason Stroface, 41, both of Arlington, were arrested and remain in the Arlington City Jail facing a charge of Theft over $200,000. Bail has been set for $100,000 each.

On Thursday, Feb. 27, Arlington police were notified of a theft in the 2300 block of Brookhollow Plaza Drive. Approximately 2,000 Tri-Delta pins were missing from the sorority headquarters at that location. After members pass away, their relatives send the sorority pins to the headquarters as part of their tradition. As such, thousands of pins are stored there. The missing pins, which are gold and have some precious/semi-precious stones in them, are believed to be worth approximately $400,000 in large part due to the volume missing.

Seals is an employee at the Tri-Delta headquarters and is believed to have assisted Stroface with gaining access into the building.
