Arlington police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of Randy Pacheco, a Red Wing Shoe store clerk. Jacob Everett, 21 of Arlington, was arrested Tuesday night (March 11, 2014), booked into the Arlington City Jail and is facing a Capital Murder charge. Bail has not yet been set.

Thanks to the comprehensive news coverage of this Feb. 25 incident and the more than 60 tips that followed, detectives were provided information that led them to a vehicle that matched the description of one seen at the store at the time of the shooting. As detectives interviewed the owner of the vehicle, Everett, they learned that he had been in the store that day. Based on information gathered from the suspect and evidence collected at his home, Everett was arrested and is facing a Capital Murder charge.
