Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred at 9:31 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the 1000 block of South Willowbrook Avenue, Compton.

Detectives learned deputies from Compton Sheriff's Station responded to the location regarding a call of gunshots. Upon arrival to the location, deputies discovered a 24 year old male-Hispanic lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several witnesses stated they heard multiple gunshots and saw two male black suspects running south on Willowbrook Avenue.

The murder weapon and the suspect(s) are still outstanding.

The investigation is on-going. There is no further information at this time.
