Deputy charges Old Fort woman with drug possession following traffic stop 
Deputy Jason Cook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Carol Maxine Hensley, 44, of Summey Road in Old Fort, Monday with one felony count of possession of methamphetamine.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. Monday, Cook stopped a pickup truck on Bat Cave Road for displaying a revoked license plate.
Hensley was a passenger in the truck. She was wanted for failure to appear and was taken into custody.
A subsequent search of Hensley revealed .80 gram of methamphetamine.
