Armed robbery at liquor store this morning.

Armed robbery at liquor store this morning.

On March 3, 2014 at 6:58am Pleasanton Police officers responded to an armed robbery at the Express Liquors on 4363 First Street. Two adult males, both estimated to be in their early to mid-20s, entered the business and demanded the clerk turn over to them the money from the cash registers, as well as his personal wallet and cell phone. Upon leaving less than a minute later, they fled west (away from First Street) on foot and vaulted a chain link fence into the north parking lot of the Firehouse Arts Center on Railroad Avenue. At this point it is presumed the two suspects got into an awaiting vehicle and vanished.

Both suspects are described as having been of average build and size. Suspect 1 was believed to have been a Caucasian or light-skinned Hispanic, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He appears to have had a dark-colored or “blued” handgun; Suspect 2 was a Hispanic male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, brandishing a silver-colored handgun. No vehicle was seen.

Several officers and detectives responded to assist with this investigation, establishing perimeters, searching the area, reviewing surveillance footage and collecting material evidence. The suspects, as of this writing, are nonetheless still outstanding and the full amount of the take has yet to be disclosed. Anyone who might have additional information to provide is encouraged to contact the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100, referencing Case Number 14-09444.
