Evansville man arrested on three outstanding warrants & False Informing charges after single vehicle accident.

On March 3rd, 2014, at approximately 2 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a call of a pickup truck in a ditch in the area of State Road 168 and Mason’s Curve (County Road 400 West.) Gibson County Sheriff Deputy Bryan Small and Owensville Town Marshal Rodger Leister were dispatched to the scene to investigate the accident. Upon arriving Officer Leister attempted to run driver by the name and date of birth given to him by the driver. The driver stated that he had a suspended driver’s license through Illinois. Both Officer Leister and Deputy Small tried to get a correct driver’s history, but the driver was unwilling to give the correct information. During the investigation the driver gave up names of other people who would verify who he was. During the investigation one of those individuals identified him as Abdul Kaseen Ramey. Officer’s on scene ran Mr. Ramey to see if he had a valid driver’s license or any outstanding warrants. It was discovered the Mr. Ramey had a suspended driver’s license through Illinois. Further they discovered that Mr. Ramey had three outstanding warrants from Monroe and Vanderburgh Counties. Also during the investigation it was discovered that Mr. Ramey had given officers the name and date of birth of his brother. At the conclusion of the investigation Mr. Ramey was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with False Informing. Mr. Ramey has a bond in Gibson County of $550, but is being held on the three outstanding warrants.
