Police activity on Mayhews Landing Road between Haley Street and Colbert Street. Avoid area. No action required. 
On March 2, 2014 at 0827 hours the Newark Police Department received a phone call regarding an assault which occurred at 7155 Mayhews Landing Road. Upon arrival officers located a female suffering from life threatening injuries. NPD Officers along with the Alameda County Fire Department rendered first aid for the female. The injured female has been transported to a local trauma center where she is being treated. Officers detained a female inside the residence regarding the assault.
The investigation is ongoing and Mayhews Landing Road between Haley Street and Colbert Street has been blocked due to the heavy police presence.
